About Martin McManamon

Martin McMamamon, Wayne Township Highway Commissioner, has served the residents of Bartlett, Carol Stream, Hanover Park, St. Charles, Wayne and West Chicago – the communities and unincorporated areas of Wayne Township, for the past four years.  His top accomplishments among many include new methods of road building and de-icing that save tax payer dollars while being environmentally responsible, obtaining the goal of having the lowest per mile cost for road maintenance in DuPage County, and completing long awaited projects such as the school crossing at Schick and Carriage Rds. Near Bartlett High School and the Fair Oaks and Schick Bike Paths.

Prior to being elected, Martin accrued thirty years of leadership in the road construction industry.  He served as Construction Superintendent for SCS Construction, supervising all finished pavement elevations on the 355 Tollway project, Elgin O’Hare project and the O’Hare Airport Scenic Taxiway.  He also has hands-on experience in sewer and water, electrical installation and masonry construction.

A resident of Bartlett in Wayne Township, Martin and his wife Martina have been married for 18 years and enjoy raising their three school-aged children together.  The family regularly attends Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Carol Stream, where Martin teaches religious education.

Martin is seeking his second term as your Wayne Township Highway Commissioner.
